VSDX Viewer privacy policy

Your files stay on your computer

When you open a file, VSDX Viewer reads it and draws it in your browser, on your device. Files are not uploaded to us or to anyone else. VSDX Viewer has no accounts.

The Chrome extension collects nothing

The extension does not collect, store, sell or share personal data, file contents, browsing history or usage statistics. It contains no analytics, no ads and no tracking. It stores two small values in your browser: how many files you have opened (so it can ask once for a store rating) and whether it already asked. They never leave your computer.

Links you open

If you open a file from a link (by right-clicking it, or by pasting the link), VSDX Viewer downloads that one file from that website, the way your browser would, and opens it locally. If the website blocks downloads by other pages, the extension asks for your permission to access that site. You can remove that access at any time in chrome://extensions.

The web viewer

The web viewer works the same way: your drawing is read and drawn in your browser and is not sent to our server. Like the rest of sketch2scheme.com, the page counts visits and which viewer buttons are used (for example "opened a .vsdx file with 3 pages" or "exported a PNG") with Plausible, a cookie-free analytics service. File names and drawing contents are never part of these counts. See also our site privacy policy.

Only when you choose it

• "Open in diagrams.net" opens the drawing in diagrams.net, a third-party editor. The drawing is passed in the part of the link after #, which browsers do not send to servers; diagrams.net's own privacy policy applies there.
• Links in the menus (for example to Sketch2scheme or the Chrome Web Store) are ordinary web links.
